Biodiesel, a diesel fuel substitute made from organic oils, is being embraced the world over as an alternative to petrolium based diesel fuel. The fact that Biodiesel can be run in diesel operated vehicles with little or no modification and can even be manufactured at home, plus the press it has recieved in recent years since country music legend Willie Nelson has gotten involved with it, has caused a surge in the interest in Biodiesel. The recent surge in Diesel prices to nearly $5 a gallon hasn't hurt either. Plus, it's really cool that when you run it in your vehicle, Biodiesel exhaust smells like french fries.
Texas is currently the second largest producer of BioDiesel in the United States, but some in the state government want to ban its sale in the State.
